Which image formats does Image OCR support?

JPG, PNG, HEIC, AVIF, WebP, and SVG are currently supported, with up to 200 images per batch. Each file is recognized separately, making individual review and retry easier.

Which languages can it recognize?

The workbench offers Chinese/Japanese/English, Korean/English, English, Thai, Telugu, Tamil, Arabic, Devanagari, Latin, Greek, East Slavic, Cyrillic, and other recognition options. Choose the language combination closest to the main text in the image to reduce character errors.

Can I edit and download the recognized text?

Yes. Results are displayed as editable text. You can copy an individual result or download it as TXT; for a batch, you can download one ZIP containing the text result for each file.

Are images uploaded to a server?

No. This tool is currently marked for local processing in your browser, and tasks do not consume cloud trials or the member daily quota. Accuracy can still be affected by image clarity, skew, glare, and complex layouts, so straighten the image and keep the text clear when possible.

Why should I not use this tool directly for table images?

Image OCR primarily outputs continuous text and does not reconstruct table rows and columns. To obtain an editable spreadsheet, use Image to Excel. For document perspective correction or seal text, use the corresponding specialized tool.
